Pomona is spending about $15.3 million in FY 24/25 on youth-oriented programs and services.

These programs include:

  • After School Programs

  • Sports and Arts programs

  • Park Rehabilitation

  • Police Cadet Programs

  • Rental Assistance for Families with Children

  • Reading, Literacy, and Enrichment Programs

  • Partnerships with local community-based organizations

Except for the youth programs sponsored by the police department, none of these programs are directly threaten by the measure. But their support infrastructure is! Without that infrastructure, many city programs for kids and youth could not survive.

Note: the measure puts programs sponsored by the police department in direct jeopardy.
